About Mary Campbell

Mary studied 16th and 17th Century History and Politics at Lancaster University where she achieved a 2:1 in 1998; then fell into secretarial work as a stop gap measure which she began to enjoy. That led to a great PA position for a managing director at Greenhill & Co. International LLP (Mergers and Acquisition Boutique) where she worked for 6 years until leaving to have her baby in Dec 2006. When Mary gets the chance, she loves jogging and reading - mostly spiritual and philosophical works - but most of her time is taken up between baby and teaching and practicing yoga!

Mary has been practicing yoga for 6 years. Yoga found her when she was forced to give up high impact sports due to the migraines they caused.  In search of a gentler physical pursuit, yoga seemed to suggest itself and she has been a committed practitioner ever since. In 2006 she completed the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course with Susannah Hoffman at Yoga Junction in Islington. She says it was a course of much inspiration and joy, which confirmed her passion for the entire subject as well as the practice of yoga. Her main influences are Jackie Barker, who has inspired her to teach and John Stirk whose workshops she so much enjoys. She attends as many work shops as her busy life can manage, including those held by Gary Carter and Tias Little.

She is married with a daughter and aspires to be content.
